2002 Road King. Hi, On my odometer it either reads total miles or if I push the button it changes to trip miles and hold to reset trip miles. One time while working on the bike I happen to look at the odometer and it was flashing , don't remember what but as I tried to get it back to the miles, every time I pushed the button it started with a 1 and each time I pressed it it went to 2 then 3....and so on. Finally after turning the ignition on and off a few times it went back to its original total / trip miles. Does this odometer have other uses besides the two different mileages? I have no owners manual.
Question 2......On my security system, when I set it, if the bike is moved the lights ( turn signals ) start flashing, can or should the horn also be sounding?

yes it does. it allows for the reading of various diagnostics codes pertaining to just about everything on your bike. Do a search on here to find diagnostic codes or look in your service manual. Will tell you more than probably ever wanted to know.

No, the horn does not sound when the security lights flash, but there is a battery operated siren available that connects to your security system as an accessory option. It does not come with the bike's security system.
