I've been thinking about maybe adding a pair of fishtails on my 09 Street Glide. I have Rinehart slip on mufflers. The only thing I can find that even starts to look like it may work is Screaming End Caps but they are 4" and my Rineharts are 3 1/2". I was wondering if anybody out there had any experience with this or any ideas where to start. Thanks, Tony
HAHAHA! ........ no,no,no, I'm not talking straight pipes my friend. I'm talking about finding some caps that will fit a 3 1/2" Rinehart muffler. Screaming Eagle make's a cap in a 4" but don't see any for 3 1/2".
I couldn't agree with you more about the noise the traditional fishtail straight pipes make - nope, not for me.
It's just a thought - always looking for things to do to this rig and was wondering if anybody else had any dealings with them or knew if they were even available.
Another thing I am concerned with is the effect it would have on the performance. Got too much invested in that 109HP/122TQ to screw with that. Hoping that Thunder Max will cover me if I find some to try.
