You will need to do a full stage 1. A/C, tuner and a cooler would not hurt..either..
Oil bud cooler for me.. Fits underneath the bike up in the frame.. out of the way, and made out of billett.
...I was uninterested in learning all about the various tuner systems and how to make them work. WAY too many posts by Guys who are trying to get their stuff working right. I use the XIEDS on my 09, they run you about $125 shipped and plug and play. done.
the only accurate way to judge what is happening is to measure the temperature of the oil in the pan...
Because you are "uninterested in learning all about the various tuners systems..." you continue with a common misconception about engine temps.
Measuring the temp of the oil only gives the temp of the oil in the pan which can be many degrees (in some cases 100's of degrees) cooler then other parts of an engine. And some models locate their oil pans remotely thus giving the rider an even greater "mis-read" of the engine temp.
Be very careful...don't fully rely on an oil temp reading (especially one of the dip stick types) to provide information about what's going on in critical parts of the engine.
Well, of course, the temp in the oil pan will be different than a spot measurement at a point inside a bearing or the underside of the piston-
would you accept that the oil pan is a good constant in which to measure an average?
that average will be affected by changes in critical points in the motor = or -
