HELP NEW MEMBER WITH TECH QUESTION!
I just traded my 03 VROD for a used 05 FATBOY. Love the bike. I have owned it for two days. One question since I am not too familiar with the 88 cubic inch engine. The FATBOY is completely stock. I hear a winding noice in front of the engine. Maybe underneath the gas tank and in front of the front cylinder. Is this normal? Am I used to the VROD quieter engine? It does not sound like metal grinding but more like a cirlcular winding noice at idle level. Now I am feeling not too good about the purchase. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback. I started to read all searches under "noise". Apparently the 88 ci engine offers more noise. I am glad to read these comments as well as your feedback. As one memeber said "run it until it brakes".
