192 flh electraglide.....throttle cable problem
not sure if anyone has had this problem, but here goes.
i have a 1972 original harley FLH.
it has a spiral type throttle cable that goes inside the handlebar and down to the carbie.
since i've owned the bike, the throttle cable has always been stiff, scratchy, etc. to the point that the throttle does not return back as it should.
i have taken it out and lubricated it both the wire and the outer metal housing and although its a little better, its still stiff to the point it wont return back to the right place on the handlebar throttle.
im a little stumped as im pretty sure i've covered everything but
this nuicance is percevering.
i have also greased up the linkage pulley that holds the wire end on the top connection point at the handlebar.....
the cable is not bent and is free from any kinks.
the butterfly on the carb is free and returns well when done manually with the hand.
ahhhhhhhhh.......who knows of this problem and can shine some light ????

So if you haven't done so yet, pull it all apart and check each part for proper operation.
You might get a better response in HDF if you post in the shovel section. This 'Other' one is out in the wilderness!
