Default 1000 mile service

Can anyone give me some advice?? I'm a new Street Glide rider and I am interested in doing my own service.....Is there anything special I need to know other than changing oil? This is the first service, 1000 mile

You need to go to the dealer and buy yourself the correct service manual for you bike, about $60. It will be the best money you spend on that bike. It gives suggested maintainence intervals and shows you how to do just about everything to your bike yourself. Capacities, electrical, it's all there...

The back of your owner's manual has lists of what is done at each service interval. Just save your receipts for whatever fluids and filters you buy.
And like Pat said, get a service manual.
If there's anything you're not sure about, post it up here and someone will help you.

I would say get a manual. If I remember right it says change all the fluids and torque every thing. You need to save the receipts.

Yes, save the receipts. If you have any problems, they'll come in handy, at the dealership.
