Question Engine Shut off While Riding & Security Light

OK - Two different items I need assistance with. I ride a 2006 Street Glide (FLHX), stage one with true duals and HD download, 28,000+ miles. I've owned this bike since it was new and have performed all maintenance. First issue, while riding on the Interstate at approximately 75 to 80 mph, my engine shut off. No warning - no cough, no hesitation, no "shakes" and no codes. No, I didn't hit the "off switch". All gauges - normal. Electrical still functioning. Maintained control, turned on signal, got off Interstate to shoulder. Turned around to yell at my friend (on another bike) - "My engine shut off!". Turned back to my bike, cut off main switch, turned it back on, turned off and on the run switch on handle bar, hit start and it cranked right up. Took to dealership near by and they couldn't find anything which caused this to happen. Tested fuel pressure, fine. No codes, not electrical they said. Mentioned changing fuel filter, but that happens at 30K service anyway. Rode the bike home, another 500 miles without issue.

Second, this morning, I crank my bike, start down the road and the "key" lights up which is for the security system. Decide to turn around go back home, light goes off, but after a few seconds, it's back on. I'm not sure if the two are related. Any insight on what to look for as an issue is appreciated. Thanks!

The only time I had something similar to this happen I had my key fob in the pocket of a tight pair of jeans. The problem was solved when I moved the key fob.

My security light comes on a few minutes after i take off. Just started doing this today. Ill try riding with my other fob tomorrow. Maybe just a week battery in the fob? Who knows - its a 2013 - seems premature.

well, update ,on my softail custom,,,i tracked it down to a circut breaker,,30 amp, that was going bad and it would get hot or something, anyway you could here it reset itself after about 20 seconds, it was located back by my battery under seat...while i was in there i replaced all the circut breakers and relays,,did it a week ago, and it hasnt shut down since,,,(knocking on wood), anyway,,give that a try,,,if you havent already....ride safe,,,

I do not have a security system on my scoot. My electrical warning light has come on doing 80MPH, bike shut down twice. I was running a fuelpak, removed it and went back to original map. I have had no further issues. Did you drop a code PO374? If so, your map is not correct. Take back to the dealer and have them re-map. Not sure what I have listed as modifications, but have many. My experience is telling me to stay HD on all your parts. It is definitely not a good situation doing 80 and your engine cuts off!
