Hacked, Conversions and Trailering"Harley Sidecar, Conversion Trikes and Motorcycle Pull Behind Trailering Enthusiasts"
A forum for the discussion of your sidecar, Conversion Trike or Pull Behind Motorcycle Trailer.
I've been looking at trailers to tow behind my Street Glide and I found this brand http://www.roaddogtrailers.com/trail...ack_deluxe.asp
It looks like a pretty nice unit. I'm wondering if anyone has had one and what there thoughts were. I did a search on the forums, but that didn't turn up to much info. I'm interested in other ideas as well.
When you add a trailer do you maintain the same lean angle? How does the ride change?
Thanks.
I agree, thats one thing I'd like to know is how different is it going to feel. It seems like it might be a little different then towing a trailer behind a truck.
#1 Yes, lean the same......#2 you just slow down alittle. Normally I ride 80 mph on the interstate,
while pulling a trailer, I keep it around 75 mph.
Do the trailers track like a large trailer you would pull behind a truck. Meaning, do you need to swing wide on corners etc. like you do with those. Is yours a 2 wheel or 1 wheel trailer?
LED Z,
I actually saw these after building my trailer. Surprisingly, they are very close to being the same. I may add the wider tires, rims and fenders to mine just for cosmetics. Here is a thread on my trailer with photos that I had put in the trailer section.https://www.hdforums.com/forum/hacke...r-with-rg.html Pan down the threads and you will see some more info on the Delphi forum listed if you want to build one. About $600.00 for materials and a weekend of work. My brother and I both built these and pulled them out to Arizona and back without any problem at all. For the price, I just can't justify buying an expensive trailer for the amount of time I use it. Hope this helps. Good luck.
