Default 2007 FLHT inner fairing

On a whim, I bid on a 2007 FLHT inner fairing w/cap on Fleabay a half hour before auction close. To my surprise, I won. If I get this painted, will it fit my '10 TG Ultra? After the fact, I emailed the seller and he said no because of different rake on TG. Is he correct? M3, any thoughts?
Next time I research first.

Just checked the HD parts catalog on the Painted Inner Fairings.
Sorry to say they give a different part number.
Says 07 with not fit newer models :-(
Even says (except Trike) on the 08 models.
Page 444 in the 2010 catalog.
Rob .....

Thanks Rob! Oh well, I should have known better that it was pretty obvious with the different rake too. Itchy mouse finger, close to auction end. I didn't want to renege on the deal so I paid up. I guess this thing is going back on Ebay or Craig's List. Lesson learned.

Rob is correct, I'm not sure what the differences are. I guess I'm going to have to look at the inner fairing on my 06 Ultra and the Triglide to see what I can tell. Sometimes the changes are minor and can be worked around and other times they are quite significant.

If I still have the Ebay inner fairing when I remove my outer fairing again, I'll check to see if the two match up. Still, there's that portion of the i.f. that wraps around the forks and may be quite different with the rake change. Seems that the Ebay photos sure looked like my i.f. though.

Just on the outward looks I can only see one thing that stands out between my 06 Ultra and my Triglide.

The bolt on air deflector has less screws on the older style vs the 08 on up. Another difference will be a grommet for throttle cables to pass through. I'm pretty sure the rake change on the trike doesn't have anything to do with it because there are guys who are installing the Triglide triple tree's on pre 09 bikes that have been converted to a trike.

Cool! Thanks for the photos, Mike!
I guess the rake is just created in the added length of the fork tubes and not the angle of the triple trees in relation to the frame (?) if my understanding of this concept is correct.

The trees are also raked but the fairing is bolted to the trees so it rakes along with them. The only real difference I see between my 06 Ultra and the Triglide is the small little chrome piece that is on the front side below the outer fairing and wraps around the forks. That piece is bent much different to account for the rake.

Recently received Ebay 2007 inner fairing. Did a comparison with my TG. It will bolt up to my outer fairing. However, it lacks the 4th screw hole for wind deflectors. Also it lacks the tapered cut on the fork pieces (see Mike's pic). There is also a large hole on the lower right below oil pressure gauge hole---must be for the throttle cables. I suppose this could be adapted to fit but I don't what to mess with the expense (paint) and hassle of removing that inner fairing! This is going back on Ebay!

Yes that is for the throttle cables.
