starter help
on my tg the starter switch always engaged the starter with out hitting the button. Replaced the switch I asked the shop did you take out the stater and take a look wrong guestion they think. Drove it home went to start the TG next day starters sounds like h__. So if the starter is shot the pinoin gear is also. where in the h___ does the shaving of the pinion gears end up. Thank You

Starter are self contained one unit and sealed on the jackshaft end. You can remove the starter as one unit. You no longer have to remove the primary cover to un-bolt the jackshaft bolt to remove the starter. To check it you have to disconnect the battery, remove the connector and battery cable, un-bolt the starter and pull it out of the inner primary housing. No primary cover removal is needed
