Nice pickle to be in...wish I could've kept my sporty, but needed downpayment on the FLHX. Definitely nice having the best of both bike classes (sporty for scream'n & touring for cruiz'n). I'm with others who said - keep them both & let the type of ride you're planning determine which key(s) to grab. Ride safe!

Sportys are fun but If I had to pick I would go with the Softail. That being said, What's the Sporty really going to bring re-selling it? probably get back enough to pay a few bills, maybe add some cash to your savings account, The money will evaporate and you'll wish you just kept a 2nd bike. So you Might as well keep it and have fun with it.
To put it in perspective, I know 3 seperate guys who bought new Dyna Wideglides about 5 years ago. They each paid OVER 20K for them. Tax, tags, extended warranty...etc. For that same 20K today you could buy a used Sporty, Softail AND Touring bike.

Like PineyRider said, you're not gonna get all that much by selling the Sportster, so keep it.
I had a '93 Sportster, rode that thing for 12 years till the motor went out last fall. Bought a '02 Heritage in Jan. I wish I could fix the Sportster but it isn't worth it to do so. I'm happy with the Heritage and if I could chose, would chose it over the Sportster.
You have the best situation to be in. I'd vote to keep both!
