UH-60 Attacks
Here's a video reportedly of an UH-60 Blackhawk attacking an insurgent position in Mosul.

A kiowa? I have never seen a chain gun on a command and control helicopter. It was most likely an Apache, 20mm gatlin gun + hellfire rockets. NICE!!
EDIT: My bad. Just did a bit more research and the kiowa is one bad (if not small) aircraft! Still have yet to see one with a gatlin gun, but I have seen it with plenty of rockets!!

apache's don't have "gatling" guns....nor are they 20mm.....they use a 30mm chain gun.(single barrelled)..i make the ammo for it, 30mm manderin, (as well as the 30mm gau8 for the a10, and the 20mm rds for most fighter jets and sea-whiz guns, and lastly the 25mm rd for the bradley)for a living. it's special in that it uses an aluminum casing...

c-130's carry a 20mm gatling gun if I remember right, and also some sort of cannon if fitted for it. But that obviously was not a c-130 because all the fire came from the same area. My guess would be the ah-1 cobra, marine corp style. I do know a little about them since I worked around them in the Navy and during desert storm. I got some pictures of them loaded with hellfires ready for lift off on our flight deck some where. I'll have to scan them in and post them some time. Awsome birds!! But as mike so rightly put it, what ever it was it got the job done!
