Ride through Western NC mtns

Made on NC highway 209 on the way from Hot Springs, NC to Maggie Valley
October 2011 during peak Fall foliage display. Outstanding motoring road!

I turned the speakers up but couldn't hear anything scraping in the turns haha

Hey Marinepilot81, thanks for the reply. On the trip in the opposite direction, I went too hot into a right hander drifting to yellow line and tried to lean more to right to stay off line and the right board grabbed too much asphalt causing the rear tire to catch some serious air time throwing me straight up with no time to recover before sliding off pavement and bottoming out in the mud, upright and still holding the bars! Thankful there was no one coming the opposite direction! My Buddy who wasn't videoing at that time and was right behind me said it was the d@!#%^*t thing he had ever seen!, it took 6 guys to pull my ultra (me in front of camera with US flag) out of the mud and leaves. So in defense of no sparks and scrapping, I was still trying to cool the sparks and scrapping in the seat of my pants on the return trip. It was on a Sunday, so was a great time for just a nice Sunday afternoon ride thru the NC country side!

Well, no skin on the asphalt, and just a little scrape on the underside? "A smoking hole in the ground is a small price to pay for a ****-hot maneuver."

Eastern N.C. mtns? I always thought the mtns were in the western part of N.C.?

I don't think Hot Springs is Eastern NC being right on the boarder of Tennessee. I'm sure it was a great ride though. Always wanted to travel out to the Ashville area but somehow I find myself going to Wilmington and the coast instead.
