All I could say while watching that was, "F-ing break!!" I also kinda liked how his friends were laughing at him.

Not funny at all - a lot of unnecessary damage to the bike and potential injury. Why not spend some time with the new rider teaching him about friction point, "duck-walking" the bike to get used to the center of gravity and throttle, proper attire, where the brakes are, what the kill switch does, etc, etc, etc?
