Couldn't whittlebeast put together a how to sticky tutorial for all of us PV users. That would enable us to use his software to tune the timing tables. He could do step 1: how to tune your VE tables and step 2: how to tune your timing tables.
Your PV should take care of the VE tables.
As far as timing, I believe that was the purpose of this thread, for us to help him develop a method to tune and/or check the tuning of the timing tables without the need of a dyno.
Fuel is quite a bit easier to get your head around.
I did a thread on "scatter plots for beginners" on a different forum. I could do one here if the mods don't mind. The basics work on anything you are tuning and with any tuning software.

Ok, I Just thought he could roll all of it up in one thread.

That would be great on this forum. Please start one. I'm so confused looking at the scatter plots. Any help would be appreciated.

That would be awesome. If you could walk us through what we need to adjust based on the scatter plots for AFR and timing that would be helpful.
In all of this scatter plot stuff, you have to accept that MAXxRPM is essentially air flow and really HP if you if you divide by the right number. This assumes that your motor does not have some strange thing going on. Most motors in the world do not have this sort of thing happening. An example could be things like a stopped up catalytic converter.
Keep in mind that if the timing is really screwed up, this assumption is not even close.
Here is what I am thinking my be worth trying. See the red line on the right. The goal is smooth running motor with very little but occasional slight knock retard.
