I have a stone stock 2003 Ultra Classic with EFI. A friend got a new air cleaner and offered me his old Screamin Eagle Air cleaner for my bike. I'm afraid to put it on because it might booger something up and not run right without being tuned or put on the dyno. I'm out of work, so there's no money for tuning. Is it OK to just put it on without doing anything else?
Let us know how it works out for you. Because when you let more in without the fuel to go with it, you get lean.
That's what I was worried about in the first place. I don't want that to happen.
QC says to do it, and you say it's going to mess up the motor. So is it OK to install the air cleaner or not????
What does anyone else say?
Everyone else will say either it will be good or it won't. One of those questions that never is unanimous as for the correct answer.
You say money is an issue but I would recommend installed a set of XIEDs. Cost is about $100 and you can do it yourself easily. They will add some fuel to the mix and help with the lean condition.

It's an 03, the OP doesn't have O2 sensors. That is why you just can't be tossing parts on it and say it's good. He can roll the dice and watch his temps and his plugs and removing if it starts showing lean.

My bad. I must've read it too fast, thought it was a 2013.
