Tuning a Twin Cam
I have no interest in going fast, but I helped a friend install a 117" kit with a larger throttle body and injectors, in his 2014 110" Softail. I know nothing about tuning or mapping or down loading or any of that. He put a Vance and Hines Fuelpak in the bike and tuned the motor with his phone. He says it runs fine till about 3000 RPM, when it starts acting up and there's a flat spot and it's cutting out. He thinks we did something wrong. I'd say, if we did something wrong, like got the cams off a tooth or something like that it would run bad all the time, and not at just a certain RPM. I think he got the wrong tuning info from Vance and Hines. What do you guys think?

Instead of using the phone to tune the bike, use the phone to order a TTS and to call a real dyno tuner and he’ll fix the issues! Sounds like a bad base map from V&H. I doubt they’ll be much help with a 117. The fuel pak was really designed for closer to stock engines. I doubt it’s anything you did because, as you said, it runs fine down low.
