What would be the best tuner for HD Heritage Softail Classic, Twin Cam 88, 2001, 15.000 miles, with below mods.
I'm thinking to buy Cobra PowrPro Black (auto tune) or maybe some Twin Tek model. I know is difficult to answer, but any opinion will help me. Thanks.
Kuryakyn hypercharger,
Dual Vance & Hines exhausts with buffles,
Cam Plate S&S,
Oil Pump S&S (with 3 rotors),
Lifters S&S Premium,
Push Rod Fuel Moto with 32 threads/inch,
Camshaft TW 21 Andrews heavy biker,
Tuner Twin-Tec (please see foto).
Whatever you get, check out Fuel Moto as have great service and can load a map based on your specs so its just plug and play and may not need a tune. Also good prices on PV right now.
For my '01 with a carb, I use a Twin-Tec programmable ignition and like it... but I've never used their EFI stuff...
I have a PowerVision that I use on my '16 and '03 EFI bikes.... It is an excellent tool and if you buy from FuelMoto, you will get their lifetime maps & support.
BUT... Fuelmoto doesn't have a lot of tunes for the the pre-'07 bikes that did not have O2 sensors. In the case of my '03 EFI bike, I contacted DynoJet and they gave me a great MAP that worked perfect...
So for EFI, my suggestion would be to buy from FuelMoto and get support from FuelMoto AND DynoJet... win, win....
