Bad coil problems
I believe I have a bad ignition coil. I have 97 FXDWG. Im getting a consistant 3.2-3.4 ohms at the primary spots but not getting anything for the secondary that connect to plugs. Ive tried from 20M to 20K settings on the meter. I can run the bike pretty normally but the idle seems like its hungover or tired or something. Super weak. My short shots sound like a lawnmower that is a few hundred feet away. I also seem to foul the hell out of my plugs even though im running a modest 45/180 jet set up on my CV
Is the lack of power Im experiencing common with a bad coil?

I charged up the battery and tried to pull the plugs to see if I got a spark. Couldnt start it
Pulled the ignition coil assuming that the secondary coils are the issue since Ive gotten a reading only once and that was the meter going up past the 10-12k and then falling back to no reading. My coil went from starting after a click or two to not turning over at all in a matter of 2 days. 😡

So I get the new ignition coil and this is what happens a few times before it decided to stay running. But about 15 seconds later. It dies. I walk away for a few mins, come back. it fires and stays on for a minute or 2. I give it a tiny bit of throttle and it starts spitting and sneezing right away
