They reprogram the ECM so all wiring stays factory. I have mine custom dyno tuned which is the way most people go. No extra wire harness to worry about. You plug it in and program the ecm via a dynomometer throughout the rpm range and unplug it when completed. Then you wind up with a bike that's running to its fullest potential and most efficient. You get to see where the engine makes its best power and a AFR graph. Many benefits.
