Spark plug split in half
spark plug has blown 3 times this season, picture attached is most recent. Any ideas what could be causing this?
always on the rear cylinder, 2009 Nightster 1200

I have no idea, and Ive only ridden a couple times since replacing the plug. This is the first time it split long ways with the brown residue, every other time it was broken in half horizontally.

Pretty wild have never seen this happen,Does it run fine and then just eat a plug ? Have you got the correct plug or an upgraded ignition and coil?

You say you don't ride alot, do you store the bike underwater while not riding? Seriously though I would change out those plug wires first then try some oem plugs, make sure they're torqued correctly too.

def weird.
Was watching a video on replacing a tranny in a HD, it had similar red crap instead of oil on the parts they were pulling, wasn't sure what it was. Looked like tomato soup kinda.
