Default Another PC3 question

Couldn't be happier with my PC3 the only issue I have right now is pinging when I get on the throttle. It seems to be fine untill it warms up. Not sure what my oil temps are but it was pinging in 80-90 deg weather. It's hot as hell here in the valley. I haveread a few posts about people using the acel pump and retarding timing. I uploaded the new firmware and using a canned map from Jamie at FuelMoto. I have e-mailed him going to call him tomorrow and see what he can do as well. It seems like there is no Power Commander tuners in the Area. Anyone know of any tuners in the fresno california, area? Or anyone have any good ideas of where to start with eliminating my ping? I think I might put everthing to stock this weekend, it's going in for it's 1000 mile on tuesday.

Default RE: Another PC3 question

This is exactly what I have been dealing with on my 07 Ultra. It is fine until the engine is up to operating temp. Then, even a blip of the throttle from idle can induce a ping. It pings consistently while riding when I roll quickly on the throttle.

I have sent my PCIII USB back to dynojet a second time. They recommended the 2.2.0 firmware the first time. That did nothing except make the accelerator pump utility stop seeing the PCIII. I am shipping it back again today to see if they can work it out.

If you contact dynojet, I have been working with Kyle. Maybe if he gets several users' complaints about the pings they will really get to work on it. The device is not useful at all the way it is. If they don't fix it soon, I will be forced into another solution but I really want to get the PCIII working!

I talked to Jamie yesterday about this and he said they have one in thier shop that does the same thing and are working on it. Should have a fix "in a few days". I'll give him a week and check back with him.
They are aware of the problem, and hopfully can put it in check.
