Can anyone tell me the optimum timing settings for my dynatek 2000i module?
i have a 1340 evo
S&S super e
2” drag pipes fitted with manifold cones
kicker only 5 speed box
gotta check the coil but I think it’s a stock dual fire/ single coil
no VOES fitted
The bike hardly ever starts on the kicker but fires right up when I bump it
the dynotek rep gave me the curve to set which is different to what was set by my mechanic
any help very much appreciated
You will need to reprogram the unit to set the dead revs to 0. There is a start delay as received which is set to 3 revs before ignition fires. Kick start won’t work at this setting. See this for programming—- http://www.powercommander.com/downlo...als/DIPK-1.pdf
As for your switch settings, use curve 2. Ground the VOES wire.
If you cant reprogram the Dynatek- may i suggest the S&S Hi-4 ignition module. It has a kickstarter only setting built into it already. Im sure its not a rugged as the dynatek- but it may solve your problem.
