I used a Power Vision tuner on my 2014 Road King and it runs great. But for some reason, I'm not getting results on my 2015 Road Glide.
I installed an SE air cleaner and American Custom decatted head pipe and re-worked OEM mufflers. This is the same setup I have on my 2014 Road King. I initially loaded a tune for SE air filter and Vance and Hines slip ons, thinking this would be close. It ran bad, really bad. I Auto Tuned it 5 or 6 times and the more I tuned, the worse it ran. I thought it was going to leave me stranded. So I found a tune for SE air filter and SE Street Cannons and loaded it. It ran better, but not well. I've continued to Auto Tune that tune (using CAP), but it still does not run right. I'm on my 10th auto tune. It misses and cuts out and does not run smooth. It ran perfectly before the air filter and tune. I'm going to pull the plugs after it cools off and look at them. Anyone have any ideas?
on your early auto tunes, did the system ask you to scale? you might need to scale on the first 1 or 2 auto tunes in order for things to get to where they need to be. you might email Dyno jet and give them the info on the set up for your bike and ask them to give you a base tune to start with. Your decatted head pipe is most likely giving you a bit of an issue. if you can't wait till monday to talk to DJ, try to find a base tune that is using a true dual non cat system and load that up and try to auto tune, using the scale feature on the first attempt, then cap on subsequent runs, and then see how it goes.

I must have got lucky. I couldnt find a tune for my parts but found one i thought would be close and it ran pretty good for a canned tune. I am only on my second autotune session so far. I will do a few more sessions and then i will compare to the original tune.
Where did you buy the PV. If it was Fuel Moto they will most likely have something to get you in the ballpark. I think Fuel Moto does the testing for Dyna Jet. Good Luck
Very common issue caused by the sensors so close to each other get installed into the wrong exhaust pipe.
Double check that the “black O2 connector under the right side cover goes to the “rear” exhaust pipe.
If the O2 sensors are crossed it will provide the same running issues you are describing. The more you autotune the worse it runs because it is reading the exhaust on one cylinder but making changes to the other cylinder which tells the system it needs to work harder to make targets happen. The harder it works the further from target the system gets.
Rule of thumb: “Black (connector) is back (cylinder)”.

While i have absolutely nothing against the nice folks at Fuel Moto, they are great people, I am certain that they do NOT do the testing for Dyno Jet. DJ may get info, take input and share info, but they do their own testing and development on the DJ product.

Working together is what i was meaning. Most of the Dyna Jet tunes are from Fuel Moto. Im only refering to Power Vision not everything Dyna Jet does.

Bob, you're my savior, man. That's exactly what it was. So much for taking my bike to an indie. They're the ones that swapped out the exhaust. It runs SO much better now!
again you are wrong, most of the Dyno Jet Tunes are not from Fuel Moto. Dyno Jet develops their own tunes in house. Perhaps you should give Dyno Jet a call and ask them who does their work for them, I'll bet Dusty would find that very amusing.

to the OP,
Glad you were able to find the main issue, but the rest of my advise still applies, it wont hurt you to scale one time then cap for the rest, and it might help a lot.

I started over with the SE air cleaner/Street Cannons tune. Ive done 2 auto tunes, and neither one asked for SCALE or CAP.. I guess that means the base SE tune was close to what my bike is actually running. Thanks for the advise, though.
