wont start

hey guys I look forward to hearing from someone on this. I have an 07 ultra classic that I bought a few months ago that had 6000 miles on it. the bike has run great ever since I got it. well the other night me and the ol lady went for a ride and stopped to eat the bike was running great parked it went in to eat and came back out to a bike that wouldn't start. it would turn over but would crank. I checked fire and had fire I can hear the fuel pump come on and shut of in a second or to but wont start. I checked all the fuses that I know about with my ohm meter. the only way I got it to hit was I soaked a gas rag and held it over throttle body. I also checked for codes thru the dash and it says no codes. Ive been a heavy equipment my whole life but I don't know where everything is on this Harley. has anyone ever seen this before? it was literally turn the key off and try to crank with no luck Thanks in advance hope one of yall can help

may have a pinhole in the gasline that connects to the fuel pump in the tank that's not allowing it to fully prime.

Something isn’t right. Rule of thumb...if it has spark and is getting fuel it will run...unless something broke and changed the timing of fuel and fire. Spray some WD40 into the intake will trying to start. It will fire and run on WD40 if you have spark.

just wanted to let yall know that I found out what was wrong. The quick connect coupling on gas tank was bad when I took fuel line off gas just kept coming out then if you turned the key it would pour for a second not letting it build pressure.I replaced it and it cranked right up. just funny how it gave no warning. Thanks for the comments...

if your fuel pressure is actually 65 psi, that is well above spec,,,IIRC should be around 45 psi,,,,remove plugs disonnect fuel pump,,,put a table spoon of motor oil in each cylinder and turn the engine over to distribute. Then install new correctly gapped plugs in each hole. get so starting fluid or fuel down the intake and see what happens. if your fuel pressure is actually that high, everything will be off, too rich.

all that said,,,,i would definitely be rechecking the cam timing,,,,i've seen gears have issues before,,,double check that they are located correctly.

Delphi 4bar = 58-62 psi.
