They are a great tool to have and if you take the time to learn it, it can do many things for you. There's always a however though. In my experience it will not take the place of a talented dyno tuner that knows what he's doing. Below is my 2011, 103 that isn't stock and the tune had probably 15 autotune sessions on it. That condition is the original run blue lines. The red is what he got beyond the auto tuned tune. Just a comparison like you asked for.
That looks like a 4th and 5th gear run. I would like to see it graphed with gear ratio.
I leave the monitor on, only to monitor some functions like engine temp, rpm, MPG etc.
It is a great addition to my bike and the "canned" tune from Fuel Moto really woke up the performance with my slip ons and AC
