I am looking for some help. Recently I have been getting a p1510 code and a 2122. More the 1510 than the other. I have noticed that the issue happens when I have shut the bike off with kill switch and when I go to start back up it will trigger the engine light. I have heard to leave the kill switch in the on position and just use the ignition instead. Yesterday I was on the bike made a couple stops and used just ignition and bike seemed fine, however I did forget and used the kill switch and bam same issue happened. This doesn't happen every single time but has happened last two weekends. I am hoping someone has had this happen and have a solution for me to try.
Sounds to me like you're having issues with your TGS ( Twist Grip Sensor ) You may have to check your connections going to the TGS , possibly a break / short inside the bars . Worst case scenario , you may have a bad TGS .
What Kind of bike ?
Have you changed bars recently ?
P1510 EFI Limited Performance Mode - throttle control limited performance AKA "limp Mode" P1510 relating to an issue with the twist grip sensor
P2122 TGS1 Low/Open - wires have come loose or are shorting out inside the handle bars

08 ultra and no I have not done anything with the bars. frankly I have not done any mods.
I would start by checking the connectors going to the TGS and make sure they are clean , not broken or worn ( inspect internals of the connectors as well , pins etc ) . You may have to remove the fairing to get at them . Use some electrical contact cleaner on the connectors , that would help clean things up too .
Another thing , would be checking the connector at the TPS also .
Could also be a broken wire at the steering head were the wiring goes into the fairing . Sometimes , not often , a wire can be stretched or broken at that point .
It also could be just a worn out TGS and needs to be replaced .
