I just bought a 2013 xl1200v sportster. It has V&H Short Shots & a Kuryakyn Velociraptor Intake. There is also a Fuelpak (LCD) on the bike. After riding it a few days, I'm starting to feel like the tuning is not exactly as it should be. Getting a few backfire pops and some slight surges at mid rpms. The previous owner told me the battery had died and I probably needed to re-enter the map. I downloaded the map from V&H site, but when I attempted to enter it, I couldn't get the LCD to come on on the Fuelpak. I'm totally new to this and would appreciate any input.
Solved. After 6 hrs trying to get Vance and Hines Support on the phone or chat to no avail, I called Fuelmoto. Got tech support on the line in under 2 minutes, discussed my problem, don't know if there is a fix for the Fuelpak or if it is brain dead (most likely) , but I have a Dynojet Power Vision on the way ready to flash my ECM and I feel real good about the Fuelmoto support.

Sorry about the Fuelpak, but in my experience you won't go wrong with FuelMoto. Damn good support for the products they sell. Sounds like you did they right thing.
Next thing I have to figure out is how to remove the bad Fuelpak. It's hard wired into a big flat plug under the seat. There is another wiring bundle coming off the same plug. The tech at Fuelmoto told me to call him if I had any questions about switching the tuners, but they were closed when I discovered the wiring of the Fuelpak. I was expecting to just unplug it.
Just follow these instructions in reverse ... 51667_51667_07-13Sportster.pdf07-13Sportster.pdf
I don't have any instructions, it was on the bike when I bought it. I assumed (incorrectly) that it was just plugged in and would be that simple to remove. However if I unplug it I'm unplugging another wiring bundle going off to the oil tank side. Only had a minute to look at it yesterday, so I didn't investigate further. I'll try and find instructions on V&H website. Since it's not working, it looks like I could just cut the wires going to the fuelpak, but I'm not going to make that assumption and I don't want to trash the wiring up on the bike.
Finally found info online. Looks like there was a factory plug under the seat that was unplugged and the Fuelpak had a male and female plug that went inline with the factory plug. So, I think I just unplug the two under the seat and reconnect the two on the bike.
