Thanks for your help...I first replaced the points and condensor with new parts.....Still had no power to the points....I scratched my head and had a few beers while thinking WTF.....I figured I had a new defective condensor....so I buy another and wahla it fired ....But popped back through the carb...then popped through the exhaust....it was doing both....I was shocked to see that the timing was able to let this happen both ways..In the end i found that the roll pin sheared off of the distributor weight housing where it intersects with the cam shaft coming from the engine....allowing the timing to advance and retard at will..... A 10 cent part causing so much trouble and drinking...lol. I should be fixed now..
