Anyone know why the Ambient Temp gauge on a Street Glide would not work? I dont want to go to the dealer so soon and get it fixed.
Some else told me that it was normal for these to be bad. Exactly what goes bad?
The guage generally reads about 20 degrees (on a warm day) too hot.
The location of the sensor (inside the fairing) is the problem.
Some people replace the guage with an oil temp guage.
Others move the sensor to outside the fairing.

They must have changed something on the '08s because mine is accurate.

It is white and on the right side looking from the front of the bike. Easy to find just follow the wires from the guage. Using the same guage, extend the wires down the left side. I tied it off to the wires going to the front fender lights.
