Default High Output Alternator

The new touring models have a high output alternaotr, 50A. That's a good thing, and I understand why. I'd like to have that on my bike for electric clothing, and extra driving lamps.

The also have AC and DC connectors on the regulator. What are the AC connectors for?

Can these parts be adapted to a new Dyna?

The way I understand it, only difference is that it is it is 5 more amps. The tri phase should improve the durability of the unit and it could be retrofitted but you would have to change all the components to do it. Hardly worth it for 5 amps I would think.

Still the same old theory of AC from the stator, and DC to the bike from the regulator. No magic here at all.
