Default HELP!!!

I just installed the PCIII today, along with my new slip-ons and SE air cleaner. I bought the PCIII from Jamie at Fuelmoto... the maps were installed by Jamie prior to me receiving it. The bike is MUCH more responsive... I am happy.

What I am not happy with is that there seems to be a delay, or hesitation, when I hit the throttle (except in first or second gear). WTF!?!?!

Does anyone know how I can fix this? If the maps were installed by Jamie, do I still need to do the 0 throttle setting thing?

Im not the best with this, others here my have better info, but I would suggest that you set the 0 throttle as well as the wide open throttle. I had to with mine, got it from Jamie as well. For what it is worth, it helped mine.
Also, there are several threads here with information on the PCIII. You might try a search and see if you can find better or more detailed information.
Good luck

Wondering if the problem is that Jamie's map is for Neenah, Wisconsin, but I am in Calgary, Alberta...

I did some checking... Calgary is3553 feetabove sea level, whereas Neenah, WI is only 755 feet above sea level.

I know that when bikes come here, the carb bikes MUST be rejetted otherwise they have poor throttle response.

Could this be the issue? If so, how do I correct it?

Good question....and possibly a correct evaluation of the problem. What did the throttle position look like when you checked it? Was it set to 0 as well as 100? Other than that, you can always give Jamie a call and explain it to him. He offers great support. As an aside, what about your oil temp.....how is it looking?
There are several people here that I would consider experts on the topic. Run a search on the thread and take a look at those posting the most information. You will see pretty quick those with a lot of knowledge with a PCIII. Im sure any of them would be glad to offer other suggestions.

How do I check this? Do I have to hook the PCIII up to a laptop?

Yes, you must hook a computer up to it, as described in the instructions, and tell the PC where/when your throttle is closed and opened, both fully.

Before you start casing after "problems" ensure everything (TPS and AFV settings) is set as it should be.

Appreciate it!

I tried calling Jamie... message said normal office hours are Mon-Fri, 9-5 (central time). I sent him an email, but don't expect to hear anything soon.

I also tried calling Power Commander... it just keeps ringing busy (not sure if it is an 800 # that won't work from Canada).

I am arranging for the laptop to adjust the 0% throttle setting... will hopefully do tomorrow morning. Then I can ride tomorrow afternoon, before snow is supposed to fly on Sunday.

Do you think that the problem may be the altitude thing?
