I am going to get Dyno Tuned this Friday. It's only $140.00 and if it will be 100% after then it's well worth it. The popping on decel was driving me nuts after installing the PCIII. I'll post my results of the Dyno run when it's done and tell ya'll how much better it is..........if any.......I hope. Thanks for all of the input thus far. Oh, by the way. I talked to a mechanic who had me change the map for my setup by adding values from 1500 rpm and up for the 0 throttle position. It helped with the poppin some.
make sure they do a dyno pull after the motor is already hot at 190 plus degrees at the heads. Then have them pull a run before they tune it to give you a before and after off the base map. As the motor comes up to temperature the runs will get better until a point where it needs to be cooler than it is. Also ask to get your print out in SAE / STD forms The STD will most likely show higher numbers than the SAE corrected number. You will want 40 pounds of air in your rear tire, and clean your air cleaner element
I had my bike Dyno tuned today and am happy with the results. After my mods with the downloaded map from Power commander I was getting 64.2 horses with 71.1 max torque. The Dyno was done and according to the charts I am now at 70.2 hp and 77.1 max torque! I am pleased with results. I was not concerned about the horses as much as I was about ensuring that that the bike was running at its best potential. The popping that I was getting is almost non existent now. They also gave me a chart which shows the Max Air/Fuel at 17.5 which I do not understand what this means? I will post the actual charts when I get them scanned in. What kind out results are you guys getting? Thanks........
SE Stage 1 Air Filter Kit
SE Pro Race 1 Piece Mufflers
SERT
76 hp. and 82 ft. lbs. of torque
Are these numbers ok?
Anything about these numbers that aren't accurate?
Any and all comments welcome.
Thanks, magnoliarunner
I pulled this from another thread here on the forum. Man, this member had one hell of a dyno ride for a basically stock bike. The pipes and SERT made a big difference.
I read a post where it was saying changing your values in the PC map from O to +10 in the 0 Throttle position cells from 1500 to 5500 rpm will get rid of the decel popping

Maybe it's not.

On my '05 E/Glide, I added 30 to the entire first column, which adds fuel at 0 throttle. Sounds contrary, but it helped reduce the decel pop, smoothed the idle, and helps during all decel speeds. Yours may react the same, maybe not. I have put about 3-4 hours into fine tuning it to the point that the engine could now use the dyno to firm it up.
