Why not just use Bootcamp? Its free, no need for Parallels, but you still need a full Windows XP or Vista. Then you're running straight Windoze, not emulation (Virtual PC is VERY slow) or virtualization. Just reboot into Windoze, when done, reboot back into the superior Mac OS. :-)
I do that on my Intel mac when I need to run a "PC only" program -- because its a rare event. (only if I really, really have to -- otherwise its Mac only)

bootcamp is always an option but I reboot my mac only on rare occasion. Also then I have access to the sert software as well as everything else.
This post was not about "hacking" the sert or ECM though I don't think that would be much of an issue as I can monitor (and inject) on any of these data streams... But that just wouldn't be the "right" thing to do. :-)

I just tried to change my SERT file with my Powerbook and it wouldn't work for me. It would start and then stop at about 25%. Sucks because I don't own a PC (only 3 Macs!) so I have to borrow my dad's laptop to install SERT files.

Why would you go and ruin a perfectly good mac by install windows (virtual or not) on it? Just pick up an old laptop junker from a garage sale and install a pirated copy of windows and the SERT software on it.
