How to enable EITMS with SERT?
How is the EITMS enabled or disabled with SERT?
The method in the owners manual dosen't work.
I had the sert installed by my dealer and have the V4.77 software and cables.
2008 RK std.
SE A/C
SE slipons

If you know what map the dealer used open it up and go to TUNING CONSTANTS table, it should be on the right side of your screen half way down.If your map doesn't show this option I would say your dealer installed the wrong map.

please see aboveservice bulletin and note the build date of your bike. If it is before Dec 3 2007 then you need a download in order to be able to self enable-disable.(free one time only from dealer)
atleast that is how I am understanding the bulletin.

That bulletin only applies to 2008 Touring models.

it doesn't work if the SERT has been used. My buddy has a recent build '08 FLHX with a SERT and the self enabling EITMS no longer works.

Had my 08 dyno tuned today and yeah...the SERT is in and the EITMS does work!

We had it on for all but the final run....my neoghbor (same bike, we bought them togather) had his done the next day...same on and off specs, really...he gained 2 HP and 2 TQ more than mine. \\; Dunno if he had it on or off.
Why would it make any difference, since it doesn't kick in below 2 mph anyway and we sure didn't overheat the motor on the dyno runs???
