Engine light comes on after starting?

Engine light comes on after starting?
I have an 08 NT, about 5 seconds after starting, the engine light comes back on, for about 5 seconds? It just started this after I broke 5000 miles, is this a service reminder or what? thanks for any help......

I am experiencing something the same on my 02 RK but the light now stays on all of the time. The first issue I had with this was the battery terminals were loose and I tightened them up and it went away. This past 4th we rode in a parade and the bike got very hot. The engine light would only come on when I was below 40 mph. This evening we were on the interstate running 65 and it stayed off until we got back into slower traffic on the secondary roads. This is when it stayed on. Now coming back home this evening doing 65 MPH, the engine light stayed on. I put the bike \\; on the jack and checked everything. I set her down, cranked her up and the dang light stays on? \\;

So if I am reading correct here I have a trip to the dealer in my future also?
