Nightster 08 Idle Problem
Hi. I am in desperate need of Help. I got my 08 Nighster and at just 400 Miles on it I have a problem. This m/c worked perfect for the first 400 Miles. Then I went to start the bike after a week at the garage and it would not start easily. It only starts when the throttle is opened. If you release the throttle, it will die. In other words it will not stay Idle. With the throttle open it works ok and could even ride it as long as you keep the throttle a little bit open.

Take it back as it could be the throttle position sensor or the idle air control sensor. Does your throttle grip snap back into place when you open it and then let it go? If so can you hear the throttle body opening and closing when you open the throttle and the bike is shut off?

Yes it does go back in it's original position and works normal. I will give the supplier a call. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks Buddy[sm=smiley31.gif]

Problem SOLVED. Thanks just the same friends. I phoned dealer and told me to try to replace fuel first. It was a direct hit. It was a fuel problemm infact. Maybe dirty fuel or low octane fuel!!. \\; \\;
