I have an 07 Ultra with Rinehart true duals and a SEAC running a PC3 I have tuned this bike with a Daytona sensors twin scan plus wego to 13 2 afr on an advanced map when I run a data log I see that the knock sensors are removing up to eight degrees of timing from 250 to 3000 rpm in the 10 to 40 percent tp If I back timing out of the PC3 map in this area it does not help \\;\\\\\\; and the spikes still show up I loaded a richer map and it helped some but again if I remove timing I does not stop the knock senssors from removing more timing Is this normal or what can I do to get a flat line with no knock retard any help would be appreciated as I am at my wits end with this thing I cannot hear any pinging but these 07s are so noisy that I can not really tell
also when I look at the data log the spikes are not related to quick throttle blips but seem to \\; appear as the map sensor position rises
Good question. \\; Are the frt and rear cylinders spiking at the same time? Seems to me if it's pulling out 8 degrees you will be able to hear that.
Update, I was able to eliminate almost all timing spikes by removing 3 degrees over a broader range on the map. It seemed that if I took out timing in just the areas affected, once I accelerated past those areas the spark map went back to zero, and cause a jolt to the system causing a spike. With -3 in all cells from 5-80 tp and 1000 to 4500 rpm I only have an ocasional knock sensor activation of -2 degrees or so. That mainly happens below 2400 rpm when lugging the engine, which I try not to do. \\;
I believe it overrides it by manipulating the settings comming out of the ECM. I had to cover a broader area of the map to get it to take out what I needed.
