Default TTS vs SERT?

For '03 & earlier bikes are there any advantages w/the new TTS tuner vs the older SERT (not SEST)?

Well, I don't know about versions, but I just installed the TTS tuner on my 08 Ultra. No dyno required. Took some playing with it, but I love it, and I don't have to visit the dlr to make the bike run very well indeed! There is a user named Doc in this forum that can answer any questions.

For the 2003 and earlier at this point in time the SERT and The TTS product do the same thing. So if you are looking to upgrade keep what you have for now. Once we finish all the updates for the bike model years there will be some advantages to the new TTS product but they are not done at this time.

Trek proved how efficient the V-Tuner program works with collecting data while riding and generating correct values in the VE tables for a smooth running bike. I'm sure Trek will answer your questions about his self tune and being an end user.

Doc do you know of any other threads with feedback on the new TTS or is it still too new. I have a 1995 FLSTN with a 127 ultima, and would really love to have fuel injection on it. Any thoughts on that. Since I have ordered a new 09 CVO it would make sense to have both bikes with the Delphi system then the TTS tuner could be used on both bikes. I know I would need to add a fuel pump upgrade the charging system find a plug for the ECM, map sensor, TPS, Throttle body, intake manifold injectors. This engine does not have the flywheel pick up so I would need to have something to mount in the nose cone, is this possible?

I've tuned several bikes with it already with great results. Matter of fact I just did a cam install (Andrews 26H) in a FLHX 96'', the owner had a Super Tuner but we used a TTS tuner instead and it put out 85hp and 98tq plus it ran so smooth you could easily fall asleep on the bike....lol. This build usually yeilds 82hp and 94tq on an average.
I'm Training a HD dealer in my area this week and they have 3 tuning sessions with the TTS Master Tune scheduled after the training....I'll let you all know how they came out too. Yes it is early but after 4 months of Beta Testing Steve Cole made sure there would be no issues with this tuner. I'm very surprised how the end user, like Trek, easily did a good tune (where he rides) collecting data in the V-Tune Program and generating good VE tables......thats awesome.

I have tried several different fuel management systems to make my Ultra's (over the years) to run smoothly with no backfiring and maintaining the range I need on a touring bike. I was never satisfied with what I ended up with, but the local dealer just said that is "normal" for a Harley.

I am very impressed with the TTS. I have owned three ultra's, tried different headers, mufflers, cams, fuel paks, PC III's, etc., in an effort to have a Harley run the way I think they should run.

This TTS has turned out to be wonderful. My 08 Ultra is running very well (I have no access to dyno to give numbers) I'm getting 45 miles per gallon now where I was getting 36, the plugs are a nice tan color, absolutely no backfiring.

It was interesting to hook the laptop and go for a ride and then generate a map that fit my bike, my riding style, and I was able to adjust the speedometer to match my GPS exactly. I am not a mechanic or a tuner, just an old farm boy.

I can't say enough positive stuff about this tuner, it is a power tool in the hands of even guys like me. I called and emailed Doc (from this forum) and working together, I helped write up an instruction sheet that takes you through the process.

It will take some time, but the end result is, in my experience, perfect and I didn't have to depend on a shop to do this tune. In this day and age of technology, here is tool that allows an owner to make the stock ECM work for him. It just makes sense to me to have access to the stock ECM and be able to make adjustments as required by your specific bike. You can't go wrong by this tool!

Looks like your past tuners didn't know how to choose a fuel management system, never mind know how to tune with them. Then make excuses why doesn't run correctly.

Glad to see the new TTS MasterTune is working out for you. It sound like a great tool.

Awesome Trek...very good testimony to how well this unit can work for the end user.....I guess your saying..... ''EVEN A CAVE MAN CAN DO IT'' ......lol.
