The last one I got was from J&P and goes by Super Osram H4 halogen part# is 3100271 for the 55/100 and it goes for about $10 and I know I got one from USA TWIN also. It sure make's it a lot better for running at night.

As far as Im see it you can't have to much light at night, around here in southern Wisconsin you just don't know what's going to be out on the road with you be it Deer, racoon or cow's and cow's realy hurt!

Sure makes sense to me, and as long as it won;t damage the factory wiring, then I'm getting one myself.
Like I said Ive never had a problem I put one in a '87' yam 1100 when I got it , my '93 ' springer the day I got it home from the dealer and and on the '87' chop and no problem.
I called J&P Cycles. I talked to a guy in technical support. He say's he's sold a ton of the 55/100 Super bright bulbs with no problems. He said they do run a little hotter, but to his knowledge, it hasn't caused any problems. Did you notice the extra heat JB?
Yes it does run a bit hotter but then youre running 1/3 more wattage which well produce more heat, but it was never enough that I thought there would be a problem.
