1996 softail springer
Advice ? my starter is not turning over, just clicks one time.
Looks like I have to take out battery & remove oil tank to get to
it. Is that right ? What should I look out for, anything to bite me in
the a**. thanks !!

if the starter just clicks once every time you hit the button try this before you go to the trouble of pulling the starter. pull the cover off of the side of the solenoid(3 screws and it is trianguler) just above the starter body. take a look inside and see if the contacts aren't just dirty. They have a tendency to get dirty and then they don't make contact. Take a piece of sandpaper and clean the large round copper contact and the copper pad on the plunger.
