Low Beam Not Working
Replaced my stock headlamp assembly last year after an accident with a moose with a new style brighter headlamp from HD. Not sure what the part # is. Anyhoo, it had been working fine until the other day. There are two bulbs in the headlamp. Both come on fine when the high beam is on. Nothing except the passing lamps when low beam is on. At first I figured it was just a bulb but they both look fine when I checked them. I'm not sure how to check the hi-low switch or wiring to see if they are ok. Any tips? Could there be something else I should check?

Try swapping the bulbs. Likely both are the same type bulb with the second one only lighting for the high beam. If that works then replace the bulb with the burnt out low beam. Checking the hi/lo switch is pretty easy. Just disconnect the plug from the headlight and check it there. Check the voltage between the ground wire and the other two. The ground is black, the high beam is white and the low beam is yellow.
