Brake light stays on, and battery spark
I currently have two issues with my bike.
2007 FXDL
The first, is my brake light stays on unless I push the front brake lever away from me while riding. I was told there was dirt behind the lever or something when I had service done on it like a year ago. Now since I just started riding it again, I noticed the light is illuminated all the time again. I took the lever off and the throttle etc., last night to try to clean it, but did not find any debris anyhow. Can anyone suggest what it may be? Does the spring in the brake master cylinder need to be replaced to push that lever just that extra 1/16" to make that light go out?
Also, when hooking up the battery I just got, the negative sparked as if something was on. I have never added any accessories that need electrical so I don't think its that. Only things I have changed would be, I removed the rear turn signals, and I changed the handlebars a few years back. I checked the wires on the throttle side last night for slits or anything, and put a lair of electrical tape around a crease I found just to be safe. Any ideas would be great.
Thanks
Neg spark, do you have the fob alarm? It has a slight continuous draw.
