Default Where does this go??

Throttle-side switch housing...
After I opened it to tuck wires, this folded piece of copper came falling out.

Any ideas as to where it needs to go?

Thanks for any info...

It slides in at the back of the switch to push it forward toward the lever. Butter knife works good to install it. If it's left out the brake light may not go off.

Hopefully you didn't break the switch, that sucker went up in price pretty high.

Thank you, will use that tip as well...

Another newb question if you don't mind?

Pulling throttle cables out of old housing, ended up losing one/destroying the other
little Circlip that sat in groove at terminal end of throttle cables.

I guess these clips help plug & lock the end of the cable guides into the switch/throttle housing...

Can I goto dealer and get new ones? (or do they require a complete cable ***'y)

Or just push it back in there without the Circlips?

Dealer will likely get the clips for you, or if you can go to an auto supply store, some will have small clips to match it up.

Would I put it there with the folded end down towards the corner,
or folded end facing up & out?

Shove it at the back of the switch, where your arrow is in the pic. Folded end in first. This way the open end flats grab the housing and help hold it in place. Right or wrong, that's what I did, way back when I broke my first switch without reading the manual first
