Brake Light Problem
Hey guys, have a 97 FatBoy. Recently purchased and previous owner had installed a soft tail rear guard. Have just noticed the brake light is permanently on. Both filaments of the bulb are lit. I did try swapping the 2 active wires around but this did not solve the problem. Any help appreciated guys. Thanks

That could be as simple as a bad bulb or a stuck on switch. If you use your volt meter or test light, you will easily know if both hot wires are hot.
If not, and it's only the running light hot, replace the bulb. If both are hot, then look unplug the rear brake switch. If the power stays on, it's the front switch. if it goes out, it's the rear.
