After an upgrade to a Baker 6 speed and a S&S speedo calibrator, I lost signal to my speedo and the engine was dying shortly after warmup with a check engine light. I couldn't even get down the street without it throwing a check engine and dying.
Took it to a reputable shop who troubleshot it and came up with a tranny speed sensor problem, which they replaced.
Got it home and rode it, it was fine. Started it up the next week and the speedo was not receiving any signal and it started dying again. I hooked up my laptop via SERT and retrieved code P1010 - missing password. No other codes present. Something to do with the TSSM and ECM talking to each other. I tried removing both the ECM and TSSM fuses as I found in another post. Cleared the DTC and tried again. Same problem.
I'd appreciate any help. So depressed! I just want to ride the darn thing. [:@]
