Speedo Dead?

Speedo Dead?
Riding Saturday and my Speedometer went to 0 looked again & check engine light aslo came on? nothing else. Rode for a little to a gas station so I could turn off bike, let it sit for 15 minutes started back up no problems. Speedo works & no check engine light. Stopped by HD they said I could leave the bike( had no way home then). She said I could make an appointment, suppose to drop it off Tuesday. ANy ideas? They just had to replace all connector behind the aircleaner 2 weeks ago bike went in limpo mode twice in 1 day.

My '05 heritage did this one time. I took the speed sensor out that is in the tranny, thinking it would be dirty and thats why the speedo acted up. It looked clean? I wiped it off, checked the o ring, and put it back in. It was normal after that. I dont know if I actually fixed it or not but it worked lol.

My 05 RG did the same thing every once in a while. Cleaned the sensor the first time it happened (didn't find anything) and the problem went away for a while. Any other time it happened I gust shut the bike down and restarted, corrected its self. Bought a spare sensor just incase but never used it.
