Stator question
My friend had a stator go out on his 2004 Ultra 1000 miles from home. Is there a way to keep it running to get her home? I heading for a 1200 mile trip and would that to rent a U hual to get her home. He said they bought a car battery but the comp would not work.

Huge solar panels connected to the battery . . .
Pull a gasoline generator with wheels that would power a large battery charger connected to the battery . . .
Make sure "home" is all down hill . . .
Just being silly . . . I watch my add-on volt meter for any signs of stator failure since mine went south a while back. Mine charged for a few minutes and then quit when it warmed up. I'm sure it did this for some time before I finally noticed the battery was almost dead. Watch that meter or carry a small meter with you for periodic testing. This charging system is unreliable at best.
