Crap! Ive got 1600 miles on my '07 Ultra and I went to start it tonight and the starter grinded somthing terrible. She finally caught about the 3rd try. It ran ok, but i tried to restaqrt it after I got home and she was grinding again. Anybody heard of this!! Jeepers if my metric buddies hear of this I will never hear the end of it.

The dealer tried to tell me that 07 just sound that way...they obviously didnt have it misbehave for them. By the time I got there the service Mgr got it to grind but they couldnt figure out what the problem was. They told me to "Take it and break it" and they'd figure it out then. That dosent exactly instill lots of confidence in this new Harley owner. Oh well.

07 MY starters are not "Completely" new......
They have been used in the XL/XB bikes for a couple of years now, and were installed on the 06 Dyna line...
No Jackshaft and you don't have to open up the primary to remove or replace it......
