New member needs help with ignition problem
I have a 2001 Dyna Lowrider. I just moved and had the bike in storage for a couple of months. When the movers showed up, the bike started right up and ran out of the van and into the garage. After a couple of weeks, I started it up to go get it inspected and titled. I took off and got about a third of a mile down the road when it just stopped. It just sputtered once and died. I didn't think I was out of gas, but just in case I pushed it home and filled it up. It would not start again. After going through it, I have gas but no spark. I bought a new coil from Harley. No help. I bought a used ignition module. No help. I don't want to just keep buying non-returnable electrical parts. I have 12vdc at the w/bk wire at the coil connector. I have about 5vdc on pin 10 of the black connector of the ignition module (LtGrn/Gy wire) when the connector is disconnected from the module. When disconnecting and measuring at the TSM (ignition module plugged in), there is about .5vdc. I don't have the Harley troubleshooting guide. What next? Thanks.
